Crossover Steering Kit w/ Pitman Arm and Threaded Drag Link / Tie Rod
This kit does NOT include the passenger side High Steering arm but does include the Pitman arm, thick wall DOM tie rod and Drag Link pre-threaded with proper Right and Left hand 7/8 in x 18 TPI, and Genuine MOOG Tie Rod ends and Double Pivot Drag Link Ends. If you also need the Dana 60 Hi Steer arm it is available separately so we can properly drill and taper it from the bottom up or top down based on your intended lift height.
This kit uses double pivot drag link ends at both the pitman arm and hi-steer arm to maximize the amount of articulation that can be achieved. The tie rod ends are standard Chevy "1 ton" ends. We only use genuine MOOG parts and all our tie rod and drag link ends come with jamb nuts.
For both the tie rod and drag link tubes we use 1.25 inch O.D., 0.219 inch wall DOM tubing that is pre-cut and threaded to the required length for our low boy kit by default however we can make them to any length. Simply thread in the rod ends, set your toe and center your steering wheel, and you are done!
Our pre-tapped tubes have also have machined flat spots for using a wrench to allow easy adjustment of the tie rod and drag link and double wrench tightening of the jamb nuts.
IMPORTANT - When building these tubes, we tap our threads 2" deep. We know that the tie-rod end we include do not thread all the way in which is why you need to giv us the center to center dimensions of the holes for the tie rod and the drag link. We calculate the length of the tube we need to machine and we allow you room to adjust for toe and steering wheel center.
